105 is the max. Even temps in the mid 90s are nothing to be worried about IMHO.To be safe you should try to restrict the max temperature to ~70C.
Unless you are board with your laptop and want to kill it quickly.

Yeah. As long as it's not chunky peanut butter pretty much anything will be better than a laptop's stock TIM application. Most of the ones i've redone they just spluge it on like a porn star and call it a day.

It is the max allowable for safe operation. AKA anything under that is safe.
Intel wouldn't list it as safe if it wasn't.

I wouldn't unless your warranty is over...
My warranty is still intact. They even sent me a gtx680 to replace the 7970m and let me do the work myself so I didn't have to mail the laptop back to them.
