I dont really have a favorite, have had at least one of each brand die hitachi, seagate , WD, Maxtor... Main rig I had a WD raptor till the other day cloned it to a seagate hybrid drive. I have seagate 1.5tb and a 2tb WD for music etc. Just whatever seems like a good price at the time...

Western Digital. Been using them pretty much all my life, only had one hard drive from them fail on me which was an old 250GB desktop drive. That one failed less than 12 hours after my Sony warranty ran out on the desktop. Fishy much?

Have a 160GB external, a 250GB external, and a 500GB internal and they have all been doing great.

No one for Hitachi?

Do you mean Western Digital :teehee:

Maxtor's are tanks!

Do you mean Seagate :teehee:

I am currently using both WD and Seagate right now. So I just added the drives up and voted for the company I use more drives from....WD

I voted Seagate just because:

I have

1x Seagate 15gb year 2000 still working

1x Maxtor 30gb year 2003? still working

1x Western Digital 160gb year 2005 still working

1x Wstern Digital Caviar Black 1TB year 2010 working yeah^^

What can I say.. my Seagate have 12 years old and is still working!! But In fact I don't have a preference

Older HDDs still bear those logos with them. ;)
