Case With Best Airflow.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I want to find a case to replace my "7 yr old biege generic".

My criteria are;

1. Airflow.

2. Airflow.

3. Airflow.

4. Full ATX

5. I will be happy to have it under my desk for the next 5 years or so.(probably longer)

6. Did i mention airflow?

7. At least 4 5.25 bays.

8. At least 3 hdd bays.

9. Oh and AIRFLOW!

Budget: Around $200 i want to make a good long term investment so dont leave something out because it is over 200 but do be reasonable.

cooler master haf 932, haf x, not sure on prices though but both have crazy airflow, lots of bays both 5.25 and 3.5, huge 250 mm fans, so lots of flow and quiet,

haf 932 139.99

haf x 199.99

similar cases but the haf x is slightly bigger and slightly better, the haf x supports the really big mobos with the extra slots on the back

oh and remember HAF stands for High Air Flow

I recently got the NZXT Phantom (black one) and can really recommend it, great airflow, good looks and easy installation for a reasonable price.

Only thing I found jinky with it was that not only NZXT fans are supported so it's a gamble if you decide to use any other fans, got my 200mms to work anyway.

I haven't had alot of cases before (just generic boxes) and I have to say i'm impressed.

+1 for the DF-85 and the HAF X

I love my 1200 but it's sort of the old man of the full tower ATX cases on the market today, room for 7 120mm fans and the big 200mm on top still give great airflow, plus it's a bit more modular than the DF-85 I have my DVD burner mounted at the bottom of the case instead of at the top which I love

I find the covers for the dvd drives on the df 85 annoying but thats my opinion but it does have usb 3.0 so thats cool, both nice cases.

Thats what im thinking i will probably go with the haf x, but keep opinions coming.

Shoot, i just realized that though this case is hot it has the great advantage of having a removable mobo tray. I dont know if i want to give that up. :nyea:

Anyone know of any decent full tower cases with removable mobo trays? Same criteria as above. Though i guess this rather throws the budget out the window.

I'm surprised nobody recommended the antec 900. Cheap, and it's almost like a wind tunnel. 2x120mm intake fans, 1x220mm overhead fan, 1x120mm exhaust fan, and a spot for another 120mm fan on the side panel. Great airflow, I have that case and I love it.
