so it takes 3 slot cooling to get decent temps eh? It'll be interesting to see how these temps are

Dang that's a big card. What's with the semi-circular cuts in the card itself?

I'm sorry but nothing about that card seems worth it to me.

The performance cannot justify the ridiculous size.

Especially considering it's toe-to-toe with the 5850 and you can get the 5850 for like... 310 dollars right now.

Those are for the stock cooling to draw in more airflow to keep a reference cooled card cool.

I'm sorry but nothing about that card seems worth it to me.

Especially considering it's toe-to-toe with the 5850 and you can get the 5850 for like... 310 dollars right now.


You ahve to consider the HD 5850 that the card was tested against was a 2gb equipped overclocked model. Take that into consideration as well as the fact that the 5850 was also custom cooled and you get a card that runs cooler and performs better in most of the tests. Compare to a stock 5850 head to head and you can see what card is faster........

How does that card "Fold" ?

I'm sure it would cool quite well during a folding load based on the load temperatures. I have yet to put it into a folding rig to see what it does
