Check out some of the prices of previous flaghsip cards from NVidia - the 8800 Ultra springs to mind.

While it is a lower release price than flagship Nvidia cards it is still out of the price range for most users these days. Hopefully the 5870s will drop.

I might wager a guess and say that this probably won't happen until Nvidia does something. :closedeyes:

The price is considerably lower than two 5870's though, and overclocking does give a large boost of performance.

Aside from the shroud being populated by female versions of bananas in pajamas; great card for a great price!

Pretty wicked card. Though, hope that scaling issues gets fixed in DoD the performance really suffered there.
I can't wait for the day the 5970 comes down to $250 like the 4870x2 is :D

I thought I read the Vapor-X was SHORTER than the regular version...


And yeah the only thing worse than the 2 chicks on this card, is PowerColor doubling up their samurai dude on theirs, lol. Let's be more creative, guys...
