Nemo Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 With the Intel LGA 1156 processors just around the corner, it's time to check out one of the motherboards based on the new P55 chipset. The ASUS P7P55D Deluxe is one such board and you can check out the OCC preview here - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/asus_p7p55d_preview/
PingoPongo Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Looks really nice. So the 16+3 power phase should keep the voltages very stable and allow a good overclock? Why does the PCI-E securing thingy look like a plane?

IVIYTH0S Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Probably so it's not so damn hard to release the cards. true, I hate some boards when it comes to releasing the cards. My gigabyte has a nice easy release but all my old asus's were such a pain and I broke alot of the clips out of frustration, looks like they were sick of the broken ones sent back with a few of the boards I RMA'd with em lol. (<3 you Asus)
kingdingeling Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Absolute WIN to DFI regarding the PCI-E thingamajigga, they just don't have it! The PCI-E slot sort of narrows towards the end of it, so the card is secured into place, but you don't have to fight that crap when you want to take the card out.
