CowKing Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 ahum...I should mention I'm bit in a hurry...so your comments would be very much appreciated id get an e8400 and clock it to 3.16 or whatever it is
paulktreg Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) It would be easier to comment if you let people know your maximum budget. The new i7 processor is the way to go if funds permit but ... You've put together a fairly solid system there but I would go with what CowKing says and fit an E8400, its cheaper and the performance difference is marginal. The graphics card you are looking at isn't the best gaming card but not knowing your budget it hard to suggest another. What power supply do you intend using? iOverclock Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 the 1gb isnt that big of difference compared to 512mb and you'll only see differences in games like GTA 4 which require alot of Vram. Go with the E8400 since its same thing just lower multipler. I would reccommend going with a after market cooler and easily overclocking the cpu to 4ghz. 3.6 ghz can be reached with stock volts. I suppose you're comparing the grahic card with 512 & 1Gig? and putting an aftermarket cooler on the CPU? thebridgerofdoom Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Where is the psu? Save the money, and get the e8400, then clock it to whatever you like. Make sure you buy a aftermarket cooler though. You could stretch your budget alittle and get the 4850.
