Nemo Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 When videocard manufacturers deviate from the reference design, it's generally done to differentiate its offerings from the competition. OCC has taken the ASUS EAH 4770 Formula Series card out for a spin, so to speak, to see how well the card performs - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/as...ah4770_formula/

IVIYTH0S Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 (edited) that little cooler made me chuckle, looks like a good card (though like you said, 40nm's are so few in quantity that their price/performance isn't anywhere as good as it could be. I still refer people who are looking at 4770s over to getting a 4850 Edited July 5, 2009 by IVIYTH0S
premiumgfx Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Despite the price/performance issue you mentioned, 4770's are scarce here in NZ with most stores selling out all their stock like hotcakes.

It's really efficient but the 4850 has a little extra performance saved up
