Nemo Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If you haven't heard of Reeven, that's because they are a relatively new company. Andrewr05 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Yea, I was gonna say it does look like a Xigmatek, in fact I'm pretty sure it is. They've lent their design out before as well, to OCZ on their Vendetta I believe...

capthowdy575 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 decent cooler looking for a new cooler over the stock intel. but wont be getting this one. but still a good cooler for cheap. thanks
Verran Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Good review! I was thinking about getting a new cooler because I really don't like the way the 939 mounting on the Tuniq Tower works, but I'm not sure about how this "direct touch" idea would work on a naked Opteron 148. The exposed core on those chips is pretty small and I'm curious how well this would work without a unified contact patch on the cooler and with such a small surface on the chip core. The price is certainly right though. I always like seeing new up-and-coming companies like this because it means they don't have the name recognition to charge big bucks which ends up translating to awesome deals for us and a good name for them if their product works well. CheeseMan42 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Nice review and I'm glad to see the inclusion of the installed picture just to see how big it looks in a case.

The install pics are very helpful!
Kuronin Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Heatsinks are a tricky thing, reason being, the fan. Some heatsinks are ignored, but if they had a better fan they would work much better. For example the ThermalRight Ultra 120 was tested using 1 and 2 Ultra Kazes, most other heatsinks come with fans that have under half the airflow.
