@ The Smith
I have a question regarding the Vantage benchmark and nVidia cards. Futuremark rules state that the PPU option needs to be disabled for CUDA enabled nVidia cards. I noticed that the scores posted here are performed with the PPU option enabled. Is this fine for this thread? If so, I'd like to submit the result below (as it places me in first :P ):

Vantage PPU enabled
P37588 i7 920 @4021MHz; 2 x GTX 295's (Quad SLi) @685/1477/1180; RAM @1512MHz @7-7-7-17-74-1T
ORB compare link

If not, use this one instead (this would mean a few others would need to re-submit a valid score though  ):

Vantage PPU disabled in both nVidia control panel and Vantage
P30962 i7 920 @3910MHz; 2 x GTX 295's (Quad SLi) @680/1445/1185; RAM @1480MHz 7-7-7-18-74-1T
ORB compare link

on with the rest...

3DMark06
27946 i7 920 @4316MHz HT off; 2 x GTX 295's (Quad SLi) @695/1500/1200
ORB compare link

3DMark05
37419 i7 920 @4380MHz HT off; 2 x GTX 295's (Quad Sli) @695/1500/1190

I noticed that too, and was wondering. However PPU stands for "Physics Processing Unit" I think, and so it's the fact that Nvidia cards are PPU's as well that gets the extra points from the "Physix Test". I am pretty sure it's not CUDA thats getting the extra points as most programs have to be optimized to use that technology, other wise it seems the "CPU Test" would get much higher.

EDIT: Does anyone else find it slightly amusing they build a benchmark to test "Physix" yet don't allow the use of "Physix Processing Units" for the results? LOL Why even have a test for it then.

There does seem to be a trick to it though... I normally disable PhysX both in the nVidia control panel and by checking the "Disable PPU" option in Vantage. It appears (from my initial testing at least), that if you disable the PPU it in Vantage alone (acceptable for both ORB and hwbot), you score a bit higher than having it disabled in nVidia's control panel. Maybe... just maybe, the video tests can reap a small but positive benefit from the PPU.

Anyway, seeing as other nVidia users left the PPU active (including the current #1 rank in this thread), I wish to lay claim to his/her position ;)
