hey everyone,

we've just had the Gigabyte EP-45 Extreme motherboard up on the test bench - check it out!

looks like a damn fine motherboard! :thumbs-up:

Good review! The numbers are so close on most of the tests that I can't help but make a comment about the margin of error though. :P

Looks like the oc'ability was limited by the speed of the ram used. I'd be interested in knowing what that quad can do, when not limited, with a board like this.

Also interesting that it seemed there wasn't much gained by oc'ing. From 2664mhz to 3570, the gains in all the tests were minimal. That's a 34% oc, yet the testing results were like 4% better:(

I would attribute that to the video card more than anything.
