kimdavid86 Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 i juss finished overclocking my AMD 64 3200+ venice to 2.7 stable. im getting 30C idle and 45C full load. is 45C full load too much for my CPU? or is that decent?
Kawasaki 1 Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 That is pretty good for the OC. I have got my 3200+ Whinchester @ 2.5 and runs 40C full load.
Switch Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Not bad, kind of on the edge, but its ok. Acrtic Silver 5 thermal compound or ceramique would help temps drop by about 5C or around there.
Alienwhere Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 I load @ 47 with my X2 first off what is ur voltages? for 2.7 If ur lower volts like 1.4 or 1.5 at 45 id say thats a bit high with a XP 90, is it copper model? What are your ambients like?
kimdavid86 Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 im already using AS5. im using Rgone Bio settings on NF4. CPU VID is 1.4 CPU VID Special control = 110% chipset voltage = 1.8 volts. on my CPUZ it saids im using 1.568v
sQuid Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 That CPUvid and Vid SPECIAL should yield 1.54 volts, not 1.8. My bad, I missed that the 1.8 was your CHIPSET voltage...I read it as your Vcore.

I don't know off hand what my chipsert voltage is, but I think it's like 1.2 or 1.3 by default. I read that changing the chipset voltage really doesn't matter (I think I read that somewhere). Anyway, please shut me up if I wrong on the chipset voltage. @sQuid, he is talking about chipset at 1.8 not CPU voltage. The CPU volts are correct with the 1.4 and then CPU VID Special is 110%. sQuid Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 thanks Kawasaki. i already caught my mistake and edited. I misread it as Vcore first time around.
