I just got one of these PSUs today and on the 24 pin connector it seems to be missing a wire, is my PSU faulty or is this normal ? it means then the connector is only 23 pins?

All is well, as per the spec there is no -5V. any got this PSU? can u check this for ?

No, modern computers don't use -5V.
