Alright, so I got tired of looking at the blue LEDs in my Vantec Nexus Fan Controller, and I decided to do a little Weekend Moddin'. smile.gif

Here's what it looked like before:

It's nice, and pretty... but common, everyone and their brother uses blue. And since Red goes with the motif I'll be using in my case, I decided to go with some red LEDs.... so, that's what I did, and here is what it looked like late last night:

I was happy like that, but then got to thinking, this just doesn?t match my case like it should... so I got out the rest of my tools and modded some more, and here is the final product.

Thanks guys. smile.gif

that is similar to a custom project im currently planning...

its essentially a rheobus that mounts in a lian-li 5.25" cover, that has clear knobs. i will then put in leds into each knob that is hooked up to that channel's power, so as you turn up the knob, it gets brighter. the only problem is that twisting the knob will also twist the LED wires, so im thinking of mounting it in a way that the connectors scrape along a metal ring that is connected to the led's power.... any ideas?

btw, sweet mod d3, i love those nexus things biggrin.gif

just mount them behind the nobs it will still let light threw.

Lian-LI cases are the best for modding.

Use 2 washers... one big and one that will fit in side of it..
run a power wire to the big washer.. and a negative wire to the small washer.. just trim the led legs to touch the washers smile.gif
Mercury
aah, so that way the 2 washers will be touching but can rotate freely? pure genius my friend biggrin.gif
