Ok, i've just got one those sound sensitive Cold Cathode tubes.

All works fine, apart from my computer has a hell of a noise, and makes the Cathode blink nonstop.

Now, if I turn the sensitivity right down low, it tunes it all out, but to make it blink to my music, the track must be real loud and beaty.

I can move the sound sensor around and stuff, but, does anyone know like a material that helps block out sound?

Im planning to put the sensor right near the front of my case, facing away from my HSF, but a piece of material to stop some of the travelling sound would really help, any ideas?

Uh yeah did you read his post? its not a bad cathode its because it is too loud in his case! I have a sound activated neon and it does the same thing cause I have like 5 fans and a V9 at full blast. taking off the door helps I know they make ones that are controlled by the sound card but I don't know if you can buy it and modify your existing cathodes to work with it.

Volcano 11 here, and yea, its that main fan.

I put the sensor down in the corner, and it bareely activates from interior sounds even at max now.

But it does react to my Mouse scrolling and clicking, and some music >_> <_<
