I used car paint for both my computers. If you visit your local paint shop you should ask them for their colour charts if you wanna pick something that little bit different.

Another good tip if you want a real nice colour is look through motorbike paint charts, some great colours among them.

Also to finish of use clear lacquer, gives it the shine smile.gif

Thats about it biggrin.gif

dude, that's awesome. How did you get that glowing effect, did you use UV reactive paint?

I think because of the size of my case i'm going to have to settle for 3/8 ID tubing. Anyway I'm trying to find the best-fit kit to buy (probly will go with dangerden), one that will require little to no modifications. Onto the pics:

As you can see I have the top 2 bays occupied by optical drives, which leaves me with room that would normally fit 2 more drives. I could also easily remove the floppy, which i dont even use, making an effective 3 drive-space.

As for the bottom portion, this is where I would possibly want to install the pump. I could remove the 2nd hard drive cage as I'm only using one hard drive. OR I could remove the hd and put it in one of the 5.25 bays up top and take out both hard drive cages, creating lots of room to work with. Don't mind the outtake fan and the metal plate over where the cpu is - those are easily removable.

I could really use some help here... I'm not exactly sure how to install everything so as to have a nice clean setup with as little modification to the case as possible.

Good find! I'll definitely keep this in mind although my major concern is that I won't be able to cool my gpu. I'd like to be able to cool both the cpu and gpu, and possibly even the chipset. Any other ideas?

Reelfiles who did you window etching? I had mine done by a company called Hyperkore (top left pics in this link):

ReelFiles
I ordered a pre-etched window from Frozencpu.com

How much was yours? Did you send in your own pic?
DarthBeavis
The window only was 30. I sent them my door and a jpg. They cut the door (it was double layered so I did not want to mess with it, did the window and installed it for around 140. The bad thing is now everyone says the window detracts from my case.
ReelFiles
Nice case, I don't think it does

oooh i just luv painted internals smile.gif mine is red. of course tongue.gif good job too on the orange internal paint, its so smooth!

the different with my case is i dont paint the edge of the case...umm just see my post and u see what i mean. its the outer edge of the side panels where the panels actually *locks* to the main frame? last time i paint the internals, i painted that as well and the panel actually has a hard time sliding in. its becoz the paint layer is too thick....

I suppose. I used Redline Waterwetter as an additive and it is red. I'm probably going to swap it out eventually for some fluidXP and UV reactive water additive.
Smefeman
looks really professional.. lol
ReelFiles
Yeah I like the orange one too.

Reel here is the lit version since we were talking about it earlier.

Nice, dude.
I say leave it the way it is.

I'm anxiously waiting until reviews and user experiences are posted for the Venus to assist my decision on which DFI board to get. I am leaning towards the SLI-DR (non-expert) due to the orientation of the memory slots which would receive very good cooling from the crossflow fan.

In the meantime, I have the Asus A8N-SLI Premium as a temporary solution (I can't complain really, got it for free! biggrin.gif ).

Are you in BTX configuration ?
If yes, does it take long to switch ATX into BTX with all the screws in the Stacker 810 ?

thanks in advance
red930
Not long at all, though there is one physical modification which will need to take place.

There is a small brace bar which will need to be removed for it to accept a ATX motherboard mounted in BTX style.

This bar is located at the rear, bottom of the top PSU bay. I took a pair of tin snips, cut it off, then ground down the edges and rounded them out.

Whole process of doing the mod, switching around the rear panels and mounting the motherboard took roughly 20 minutes.

Hey, watch that!!!

I still use an 8 year old Sony Trinitron for image editing. LCD displays are still not up to the image quality level that good CRTs have had for years.

I use DisplayMate tools to adjust my displays and the Sony is still the best especially in the areas of black and shadow.
ReelFiles
Running dual-screen CRTs here (2048x768@85Hz) and loving it. I'll get LCDs, when I get enough money.
