P.T.K.
My first build, Coolermaster Wavewmaster case. Vigor Gaming Monsoon cooler and the rest of the stuff in my sig.
ReelFiles
I also gave her a WD 200GB Sata drive, and a NEC DVD burner to go with it, time to update your sig babe. wink.gif

I am way proud of her, she got this thing up and running on her first try with only minimal assistance by me. I know it ain't not DFI rig, but pretty decent for a first build. We'll upgrade it some more soon.
s1ick
p.t.k : thats one masssssive cooler. mine is tiny in comparison. Are you compensating for something else... lol wink.gif
P.T.K.
Compensating for what? I already have DDs, how much bigger should they get? LOL.
Curtybob
Hey, we don't want to hear about your Danger Den parts. Lol.

ROFL You just cracked me UP!
ReelFiles
Sh!t, I own DangerDen parts and didn't even know it. wink.gif
Curtybob
I had to say somethin', the last few posts have been host to a couple of overshares. s1ick shared that he has a tiny one, and P.T.K. has to go rubbin' it in everyones face that we probably owe ReelFiles (and P.T.K. too, as long as nobody's gonna get beat up for it) a high fiver. lol
mknwatt
P.T.K. Good job on the first build.
One recommendation if possible install the Monsoon where the case exhaust fans, pull the heat off the HS. Looks liek it's hitting the bottom of the PSU, just my 2cents.

Thank you, I have about a 1/4" of space, it is the only way the cooler will mount on that motherboard sad.gif I need a better motherboard.
mknwatt
Just watch the PSU for overheating. The Monsoon's HS puts out a lot of heat. There's always room for mods. haha
flyboy14295
I wanted to get a Monsoon but they look so BIG!!! I Dont Know if it would fit on my Expert.

The fans are reversed, so the air is blowing down. Thank you for the warning.

Damn, I was going to say the same thing biggrin.gif

You need to step away from the PC when DD starts bringing "Danger Den" to mind before a nice rack.

You know you are a grade A nerd when acronyms that can mean immature "funny parts":)smile.gif are now meanings for computer parts stores.smile.gif

Like Silicon Electronics Extreme (SEX), Prebuilt Microprocessor Systems (PMS), and Technical Information Technology? biggrin.gif
Curtybob
Dangit.... I hate being a grade A nerd.
ReelFiles
Guess I am not that bad then, because I had to think for a minute about what Curtybob posted. I guess I am still an immature perv.
flyboy14295
I hope I didn't offend anyone?
ReelFiles
I am highly offended, how rude... I am not a nerd, I am a geek, damn it.
General Septem
I wanted to work for the Geek Squad but I wasn't old enough.
flyboy14295
I want to ride around in the Geek squad bug's and have the fake badges liek they had in the commercials. BTW, how old do you have to be?

You have to be 18 to work anywhere in the Best Buy store, because of the warehouse. Ironically I'm working in a warehouse store.
Curtybob
I'm not offended... my last post was just another poorly executed joke. It was supposed to be like that Clark guy off of The Benchwarmers (the same guy that played Napoleon Dynamite).

I embrace being a nerd, geek, whatever the going term is. And to keep myself from posting off topic for this entire post, here are some newer pics of me rig:

This pic is of the work I did to the front panel. If you didn't see the other pics, go back to HERE. Since the old ones were taken, I have polished out the paint a bit more (really just hand glazed and waxed), done some minor reshaping of the hoodscoop opening, and mounted my X2 4400's IHS to the yellow insert I made for my drivebay door. I also did some little stuff like painting the Bulgin switches (the power and reset buttons) black.

Still got a long way to go, but with the hours and locations I have been working, It'll be spring before I get a chance to finish it up. The main project is the side panels, which are cut out and prepped for some more fiberglass. They will get some teardrop shaped ducts with openings in the back. The openings will have some large chromed exhaust tips just barely sticking out. But, more on that when I have something to show.smile.gif

Having dejavu, hehe, I was just watching that video last night. Glad you made it, before that I had to link people to the video tutorial to the gfx skins they sell at FrozenCPU, now I can just link them to the proper video.

Thinking of letting my wife do the flames on her WaveMaster. I really like the simplicity of it, with the complex looking outcome.
mknwatt
Got some materials from the store. Can't wait to mod the new case (CHENMING 602) with some of yer supplies. I don't have near the talent as u, maybe it's the tools. haha

Nice build mnpctech, AGAIN.
Curtybob
Where do you guys get that style of prop cone in the proper size? The only ones I have been able to find leave about 1/8" of the fan hub showing all the way around (so I guess almost 1/4" too small in diameter). The fans I was using are the Evercool 120mm aluminum frame fans.

At least the pool thing is somewhat social.

Great work, MNPCtech :tooth:
taowulf
I play pool far too rarely these days. I play EVE far too much. wink.gif

I need to get social again, I am in hermit mode.

However, my best friend is going to be moving in with me in a week or two, so things might get a bit more fun around here.

Taowulf ur best friend moving in ? cool lol if u two both love games it'll end up being like the two guys from www.ctrlaltdel-online.com comics

Bump for the Old Thread in the New Forum and a move to new section smile.gif
THEnumber337
My case is just a Lian Li with no mods. But I think it has fairly good cable management.

Raiderfan001
Nice cable management indeed. Looks real good. I would get rid of them IDE cables and get some sata burners but still looks good regardless

Thanks. I would like to get some SATA burners and I could sleeve some of the case cables too but I don't have a side window so looks aren't that important The main thing is air flow. However, the next case upgrade I get I plan on getting some SATA burners.
Raiderfan001
Well get a panel with a window and show it off lol

Here are some pics of my latest build. This system runs so quiet and cool it's very nice. This is my first build using a DFI board and i'm hooked, truly the best board I've ever used.

Nice setup......all you need to get now is one of those USB drink coolers with a can of pimp juice on it and your all set smile.gif

My rig as it stands today. Can't do much with cables in this box
Bobyboy101
well this is my rig specs are in my sig it took about a 4 weeks from very start to finish to complete and I still plan to add a GPU block in the next few weeks or so wjen i upgrade from the 7950gx2 to a 8800. the side window is also custom cut and any where i connected a tube i clamped it down tight and coated the joint with a liquid cement type of goop to prevent any minor leakage that may happen and let that sit for a few days and when i filled it and leak tested it over the weekend not a single leak accured.. I have to say the hardest part was mounting the rear rad as I had cut the whole about 3 mm to low and the clamps wouldn't fit and i had to resort to the double tie strap method. both rad are cooled by 2x120mm super silent fan 1 infront and 1 behind teh rad.
overall I am happy with the way it turned out and how sharp and clean it looks so here is some eye candy. I apologize in advance for the pictures i'm not at all any good with a camera.

chubbyfatazn_merged
Thought I'd give the thread a bump.. and it's Spring Break and I'm bored already. Testing your memory is a real pain in the ass wink.gif

Anyways, here goes. How's my cable management? Not the best.. but I tried to get rid of everything on the other side. Need to get SATA burners. Temps are awesome; 1.57v at 47C load. I wish I could hook up the front panel audio to the Karajan module...

Sorry for the size of the pics, cut them down just to save space.
