Laptop Cooler v3.0

My other cooler was falling apart (damn that hotglue!) and instead of re-gluing it I decided hat I would just remake it.

I didn't do any "in-progress" shots because that would have been pretty boring.

I kept with pretty much he same design except that I went approximately 2 inches taller.

The reason for that is this:

A new 120mm fan vs. the old 80mm fan

I even threw in the "flow straightener" that SaxonPC sent me:

For POWA! I'm using the same 12V wallwart adapter as the previous version.
I decided to make it "quick change" so that if I needed it to be quieter I could just plug in some bare leads on another adapter.
Also I added a large metal toggle switch:

Here is a top shot:

I needed some thingamjigs to keep it from sliding off of the cooler.
I tried those wooden blocks at first but then I realized that the laptop weight just made it ride up and over them.
I took my trusty "n00b cannon" as King called it and just blasted away until I had a somewhat decent pool of molten glue.
After it was dry I blasted some more, waited for it to dry and ouila I now had a nonskid surface:

Here it is with the laptop mounted:

Thanks wink.gif

Most of my mods are pretty noisy, I guess I'm just not as picky as some people.
Or maybe I just haven't had the luxury of having any peace and quiet?
