Its my first post here. I am thinking of getting an cosmos 1100 S.
being in South Africa the case is very exspensive and I would just like to find
out if it would be worth my money. I want to get this case with the new Samsung
2232 GW screen.

My PC: MSI P35 platinum, Q6600 CPU @ 2.630 (want to run at 3.00 with an decent case and cooling) OCZ Vandetta CPU cooler
2 gig OCZ Reaper PC2 9200 @ 1180, 1x Seagate 250 gig 16 m cash, 1x seagate 160 gig 8 m cash, OCZ 550 watt PSU,
XFX 8800 GTS XXX, sound blaster sound, ACHILLES Gaming Case with an couple of extra fans.

Well I don't know if it helps, but I have a Cosmos 1000, which is similar in design. One thing that you need to be sure of is the size - they are VERY big cases and very heavy, but it does mean they are great to work on as there is plenty of room. Cable management is also good, as you hide the cables behind the M/B and they are neatly routed through slots in the chassis. Cooling is also excellent, 4 x 120mm fans fitted, with 3 around the CPU area to exhaust the hot air that collects at the top of the case. There is also a very large bay area for the PSU, so if you want to buy a powerful oversized one, then it's no problem. Very easy to work on being screwless etc. I also like the way it sits off the floor (has to be floor sited really) on the rails, stops the normal black marks that can occur around a normal case on the carpet. Build quality is good and the cooling is excellent. The 1000 has acoustic foam panels in the side which makes it a very quiet case too, not sure if the S has these?

Things I didn't like were the siting of the 3 1/2" bay as I like a small fan controller and it was near the bottom, i think this has been re-sited? The HDD bays could have also had a fan to exhaust air away as the drives fit quite closely together and the bay area can get warm.

Other than that a very good case, if a little big and heavy.

I have a Cosmos S. Its nice. Plenty of room if you plan on Water Cooling. I have a dual Rad on the top and a single on the inside rear. This all fit with ease and no mods. 8 120mm fans.

i dont have a cosmos (i wish), instead i got a stacker. back when i bought this it was still as expensive as the cosmos is now, and thought long about if i thought it was worth it. and i think it is

if you work inside your case a lot, its heaven to have a top cage. its a big investment, but unlike most pc parts, if you buy a very good one itll last years. and let me tell you, once you get used to a tower case from this kinda quality, youll never wanna go back.

invest the money, youll love it smile.gif

Ja swaar hoe gaan dit daar. Reg kan ek begin, oops let me speak in english lol. When I bought my case which is the Coolermaster stacker 832 the Cosmos just came out. When I went into the shop to purchase the cosmos I got talking to the guys by the tech department and went to the back of the store and saw the space between the 2 cases as inside the case. I decided straight away to change my mind and I got the stacker and I have never looked back. Please don't think I'm running the cosmos down as its not a bad case but if the stacker is cheaper there rather get that.

Kak damn i didn't even think they sold the coolermaster cases there. It's just for the money you have to be 100% certain its the case you want. I find so far with all the reports that the stacker runs a lot cooler as well.
