i picked up one of these express cards.. i have an option to get either the barracuda or the fatal1ty headset now (not the professionals).

im wondering if the the 5.1 sound the barracudas give, can be simulated by the xfi card and the fatal1ty's together or even surpass the quality of the razer's by using the x-fi's EQs.

any truth to that? my express card has an option to hook up the 5.1 jacks of the barracudas. can the fatal1tys match the sound?


im looking for good bass, including rumbling low frequencies and good positional audio.

I like my barracuda a lot but I don't think headphones are all that great for bass in general....

well... you think wrong... headphones can perform better than speakers very easily... stereo headphones that is...

I'd suggest a pair of open-back stereo headphones over a 5.1 headset
