Going to pick up a PSU today, not ordering off of internet, i found an antec earthwatts 500W with 17A on each 12v rail (x2)
Wil this run an 8800GT that requires a total of 28A? I know it should, but i also know that the rails add together wierdly...
sorry, wrong d*** forum, but i guess it works here, its about a Video Card

I would really recommend against the Antec units, their quality control isn't so good and they've been known to use bad components. Spring for the Corsair VX450 or VX550, they're both top quality. You really can't go wrong with either one.

The 500W Earthwatts would power a 8800GT just fine.
Antec's quality control is a bit better than what it used to be, and the Earthwatts are Seasonic builds, albeit without the same kind of build quality you would get from other Seasonic units.
The Corsair VX450 is a very good alternative if you can find one (considering you aren't shopping online).
It should be a comparable price (or cheaper hopefully), has a higher build quality than the Antec and similar 12v output (on one line rather than 2, not that it matters much).
