Hey i got my new Cheiftech yesterday and im wondering if anyone has any silver faceplates for the cd roms i would need two, Im not looking to spend alot of money. Anyone know where i can get em cheep?

why dont you buy the paint and make your own its not hard.

i agree, just paint it. are you talking about the bay covers or the actaul cd-rom cover thing? not all cd-roms have the same cover.

also if you paint, you might want to make sure it is the same color code used as on your case. with painting it might be hard to get the same shade of color, unless you paint your case with the same paint.

harddrive.com carries painted drives, silver, red, green, etc but that may be a moot point if you want to use your existing drives. I saw a review of a Coolermaster universal aluminum faceplate (I thought here but can't find it now) and Lian-Li makes some for their cases, depending on drive manufacturer.

Thanks i never thought about painting it. Its just a silver paint i think its same shade as you can get in the hardwear store.

I like the stealth mods where you hide your cdrom behind an orininal cover. it's one of the easiest and best mods I have ever seen
