i was planning on getting a 850 watt power supply will that be powerful enough for me i plan on getting a 8800 ultra, 8 gigs of memory, 2 250gb raptor harddrive, another 1tb harddrive, a physx card, and a watercoolign system. is 850 watts enough to power that?

850 is more than enough for that. You could even do with a good 600w unit and still have power to spare. Mushking, Silverstone and OCZ(Specifically their GameXStream series) all make very good, affordably priced 600-700w units. If you're planning to go SLI in the future then the 850w unit may be a good investment. Silverstone, Antec and Thermaltake tend to have the better power supplies at that specific wattage. Also, stay away from the Cooler Master units. Bunch of nasty stories floating out there about their 850w units going out in a blaze of glory...Hope that helps.

They only come in 36, 74, and 150 gigs.

Have I missed something? Since when is Thermaltake considered "better" ?? Last I checked they where horrific!

Dont forget PC Power & Cooling of that list blink.gif

I agree with PETEZ, Thermaltake is not that good really! Silverstone is far superior to both Antec and Thermaltake, but PC Power & Cooling is still at the top!

You don't need an 850 watt supply for that system. A good quality 700 would be more than enough. PC Power and Cooling is by far the best brand I can think of.
