yes im getting ready to buy the parts i need to build my daughter a new system. I let her search the web with me for a new case and she saw this one out of them all and seems to like it. Does or has any one purchased it and if so is it a good case, bad case , or OMG DONT buy it case.

Achilles Gameing case

The reason I ask is i cant seem to find much information on the case other then sales adds and ZEro reviews.

Thanks in advance.

Judging by the completely unheard-of manufacturer, it's probably not very high quality. But if she likes the case, she likes the case. smile.gif Whatever you do, don't use the PSU that comes with it. And while you're here, you might as well post the specs of the computer you're going to build so we make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck.

EDIT: I think you're linking to your shopping cart. Either list the parts for the build or take a screenshot of your cart. wink.gif

For the amount of money that you're spending, you can get much better hardware. For starters, I'd get a Core 2 and drop the 8600GT if she plans to do any gaming. I'll update in awhile with a full list of parts. Is there a specific budget for this? I'm guessing it's around $800, let me know if I'm wrong. I presume that you don't need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

EDIT: will this be overclocked at all?
EDIT 2: NVM about the keyboard, there's one in there... laugh.gif

OK, here's the newegg wishlist: https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wishli...tNumber=8460947

I didn't include a CPU HSF because I don't know what you intend to use it for or if you're going to OC. Let me know if you want any explanations for why I picked a certain item. I don't know if you really need two burners, but I put two in because you had a couple in your list.

OK, I can understand preferring Nvidia over ATI because of drivers and whatnot, but tell me what possible difference you can notice between an AMD and an Intel CPU. rolleyes.gif

Then you'll end up with a slower PC. Have fun with that.

yeah, it's feather weight, so so paint job, cheap rolled sheet metal... nothing I'd waste time with.

I'm not going to comment on the looks of the case because that is purely based on the person's opinion. I'd watch your fingers inside the case because it's probably pretty sharp (cheap rolled sheet metal).

IMHO any case called a "gaming case" is usually pretty crappy.
They take the cheapest material and all this gawky exterior protrusions and lights KNOWING that despite how crappy it really is people will buy it for their kids or kids will beg for it just because it is "unique"...

Might be a better choice, and I believe its a good brand:
NZXT Apollo Orange
NZXT Apollo Blue

No worrys talked her into picking a different case

Sunbeam Transformer
bigred
that's a smaller design of the nice enermax I liked to use (before they discontinued it). much better steel construction with rounded edges.

though the plastic on it is so so.

NZXT is pure and utter crap. I think PC world's review of calling it a cheap case with cheezy plastic added on was pretty accurate.
