Didnt you see my ULTRA BLOW © BLOW HOLE? Apparently you don't know how the foam case work. You see, i have created an air tunnel. It is actually probobly cooler than most computers and a hell of a lot less noisy

Not really "well duh", I was just asking anyway, and you didn't post any pictures of it running so I didn't assume it could.
What are the specs of the foam covered creation and have you had it running for long periods? temps?
Questions, questions
coolcat97
Jun 19 2007, 03:36 PM
Well, it has a pentium III processor (i'm guessing 400-500 MHz) and a pentium II board (the bios thinks its running a pentium II) its got 128 - 256 ram i think, 10 gb (was be noisy as hell) now quite HDD. PCI video, ISA Audio, ISA or PCI nic (i forgot and now its been foamed)

Wow hahahah! how good is the cooling Lol
coolcat97
Jun 20 2007, 07:59 PM
^^ Alot better than the adverage PC. The foam allowed me to make a custom CPU duct, using two fans which allowed the processor to instantly receive the fresh air and dump the old air. On the other hand, lets say you don't make ducts, your screwed.

Jun 21 2007, 07:44 PM
you've managed to get good airflow across the cpu... howver you INSULATED other components.

The original "FOAM PC" was done with a pentium classic, and you know how much heat the components of that era put out...
I certainly wouldn't use it 24/7 to fold, mine is gonna be just a novelty PC.
Only turned on when people ask what it is...
coolcat97
Jun 22 2007, 06:47 AM
And mike, the only components In the foam MIGHT be a few capacitors. All heat generators have a custom duct. The main thing the foam dose is dampen noise. It dose not insulate very much heat at all. If you guys want, I can run it nonstop for a week on SUPER PI 32M.

You can't run SuperPi indefinitely... maybe the processor you are using runs at 8 MHz and would actually take a week to complete the 32 million digits... otherwise, it would just stop...
Stress Prime 2004 or OCCT would be good apps to use for a week of maximum cpu load.

You tell him coolcat! Who cares if what you're talking about isn't possible? No, sir! That won't stop you!
Don't let nrg push that SP2004 and OCCT stuff on you! No, no! How dare he suggest a reasonable and logical alternative to allow you to do what you're claiming?
