Ok, i just thought of an idea to fold all summer: big water cooling.
Could i get radaitors (from old cars) and put them in a fridge, then use gasline and fishtank pumps to pump cool water into water blocks made from idk(Old cans?)
This probably sounds really stupid...

Might work, though I wouldn't "chill" the water. Might cause condensation problems..

It needs to be cooled...

Yea, but not by refrigeration.

By Fans. Ya, know how the whole watercooling thing works? Fans on the Radiator..

When its 80+ F in your farm, fans do NOTHING.

Then you need to lower the Room temparture.

Easiest and quickest way to lower temps....

That's what radiators are for.

The point of not using a refrigerator is to prevent condensation. If the water lines in your computer are colder than the air in the case, water will condense on them (they will "sweat"). At this point, the condensation can build up and drip. If that happens, you can fry a system. When you go with cooler-than-ambient cooling, there are new considerations that need to be figured in.

LOL @ making water blocks out of old cans. tongue.gif

Also keep in mind that you're talking about a LOT of tube length to pull this off, which means some pretty serious pumps.

EDIT###
Wow, lotsa posts while I post. You do realize that for all the money you spent on this "mod setup", you could just get a window AC unit for the room and it'd probably be more effective and less work, right?

yeah... i guess i can build one... rolleyes.gif lol

(the ac)

why not just make a tube setup like that in the smaller heater cores of cars and just bury it like 4 feet in the ground like geo-thermal cooling works
