I still haven't bought the computer yet, I'm currently waiting till this Wednesday for payday... But I'm on a budget and that setup has cost me $1k and the only thing I'm missing is cooling, how much wattage will I need to power this up... Maybe within months I will be able to add water cooling, and a different g-card and more memory. Any suggestions?

looks like a good setup to me...

personally i think a good 500W power supply would be good for that may also look at OCC Reccomended PSU's

How about I change the case to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811146017 ... I've been reading some reviews... Comes with a 500watt PSU

may wanna wait for some more input though

If you can swing it, do yourself a favor and buy a PC Power and Cooling "Silencer 750" and then forget about any PSU problems cool.gif

I'm gonna try and do that I don't wanna run into any problems. Gotta find a cheaper case now...

A nice 600W will do you justice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817341001 I bought this one for a recent build and it worked out just fine.

A 500 watt could do it, forget about that expensive pc power cooling psu unless your going to get the amount of money for it, but its your choice smile.gif

Instead of getting the e6700, you could step it down to an e6600 and use the extra cash from that to buy yourself an 8800GTS which would perform much better than that 8600 plus you'd still be within your price range and you could easily OC that extra 200MHz out of the e6600. As for cooling, grab a Tuniq Tower if you can get it into your budget and you're set.

Off Topic: Has anybody else seen this ridiculous combo offer on newegg? Buy the Scythe SCNJ-1100P and get a ZEROTherm BTF95 for 10 bucks off...I suppose it's ok for building multiple systems but it's still pretty crazy.

Overall a nice build, I agree with iKillSteal though. If you want to save a couple of bucks as well, get this set of RAM --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231114

As the G.Skill HZ's have gone up in price, this is probably a better deal!

To the whole PSU discussion, grab the XClio StablePower 500W, it's good and rather cheap.
