Thats a 500MHz Pentium 3, with 2x128MB PC100 RAM and some weird integrated grafics card. I got this from a friend a couple of weeks ago, and this weekend finally got the time to "upgrade" my file storage system (VIA C3 600MHz, 128MB PC100). After fiddling with this thing for a while, I concluded both of the systems absolutely SUCK, and that I need to upgrade this system to something decent.
As I have a spare Athlon64 3700+ socket 939 sitting around on my desk since about 4 months, I might as well put that to use. I'm looking at a MSI K8N Neo4-F right now, so a nice case and a PSU would fit great with my project

[edit] It is decided, I bought an ECS 650iSLI mobo from Uber. Therefore, I will be building a second rig, but how should I build another rig without a case? So PUUUHHHLLLEEEEEZZZEEE OCC help me out here

This is my special case that is very stable and never breaks. It costs very little money and does not exsist. Have hardware, no case. Well, besides this awsome case right here that has great design and is made out of virtual pencil mark.

theres nothing flash about this but its over heating BAD so a new case will be good for my PC and my Coolermaster case for the server and this case for my gaming PC

Since it's my only case, I guess this is my worst.

I have never really liked this case, way to small. I can't do any wire management in it and have been looking to buy a new case / powersupply for a few months now so this is the perfect contest for me ^^

And oold, ooold IBM. When I was moving it out to take a picture of it, the heatsink for the Pentium I processor.. well, fell/snapped off.

I dare say, the fishtank case is hard to beat.

my old dell, will not hold a new motherboard.....and has no agp slot...and the front is falling off..............and it weighs a ton

My Special Case.

Power Supply Racket Broke off due to stress and poor quality metal construction. (Held together right now with superglue but i have to reapply every 2 weeks).

Motherboard wall screws coming off. OVERHEATS LIKE CRAZY. Burns flesh if you touch computer. Conducts heat a little to well.

I need a new case that will help my new computer be cooler. Right now my new computer is in HP PC CASE

Funny story but i used to have a 5200 Nvidia card and i accidentally hit the computer. It cause the whole friking power supply to smash my nvidia card. Broke all agp pins off. (had to use pliers to remove debris from slot). I hate my power supply and my case. This is why i want a case that i can actually poke without fear of damaging my computer.

If i were you, I'd pop out two of the 5.25 bays and set it in.

Sides of the other half of the case are all bent out so it makes it very difficult to open and close the case. The PSU is ancient and the case weighs a ton. The inside is incredibly dusty (those peripherals have a sheet of dust on them. I want to clean it out, but I don't have a bio-haz suit.

Well I guess no one cares for the Case & PSU or that 1000w PSU. where is the desire here people I have too many PSU's and cases here just to take them for myself. Post em and tell us about it. How bad are your needs?

I really wanna get rid out of it because this sucks & it has no ventilation inside it at all.The space is too short inside the case.I'm still stucked in my Athlon XP system with the 300W 20-pin PSU.It gets too hot while using in full load.

I was thinking of an upgrade of the case & the PSU but changing those both to the high-end ones require a lot of money which, being just a student i simply can't afford.

So, i'll be highly oblized if you can kindly consider me as a deserving person for the prizes.Thanks 4 understanding.

Well, being completely honest, alot of us have multiple decent computers...don't we? I would certainly love to win... but my Pentium 4 machine can remain uncased...

Unless it's for business, why have more than 1 PC? (unless like each person in the household has their own)

I have never owned more than 1 at a certain period of time....

I have 2 PCs quite normally. One acts as my gaming/browsing/working PC ... the 2nd is a server PC whereby all my multimedia is available by my house-mates. Legit reason for 2 PCs

Folding at home, and its just good to have a spare in case one quits.

This is my only case & it has been severely damaged (by my dog).This picture has been taken back in 2006(U can see the date if you dwld the picture) when my doggy pushed it & it fell down from the table & you can see what it does look like now.I couldn't RMA it coz they didn't seem to offer me a replacement for this.I can't even attach the side panels because of this damage.

I'm also running only a 350 W unbranded PSU with no warranty.

So, i really really want a new Case and/or a new PSU. Oh yes, i'm not lucky to have more than 1 PC like some of you guys do.This is my only PC.So, please please help me.

Yeah... I sort of think that when you start buying rigs to fold, you might as well just take that money and send it to some cancer\disease research place...

Well, anyone in the top 10 list for F@H must have alot of comps. I think we can give a little trust to those that say the don't have much. The guy here with his tower all bent up...i feel bad for him... he deserves to win much more than i do... (assuming that he has not lied) And alot of people would lie... but worst case... it just seems that the ranking for the worst will be a bit random... if not a bit random, the knowledge that he has 100s of F@H cases and comps will take away ... best case is easy...worst is hard...people can cheat on this...

Maybe someone with all those rigs do not have cases like I originally posted and was told it had to be a case. The price of cases add up quickly and a case is not necessary. And I bet the winner is picked at random just like the other contest for the RAM was.

This is mine. I really need a good PSU & a Case because this Case only has one optical drive bay.So, i can't use my 2nd DVD-RW in it.

Either prizes would be highly appriciable because my 400W PSU is just can't handle the loads anymore too.

erm, no, I am usually in the Top20, sometimes in the Top10, and I have 1 (!!!) rig folding, so a E6400 @ 3.2 eating the SMP WUs, and the X1950Pro chugging away at the GPU WUs

OK like I said when I originally built it "technically, this isn't a case" but it does have a pc in it with a keyboard, mouse, vga monitor and soundsystem.

I really don't have any crappy cases (at least I don't think so) but if I had to pick one.....at the moment this would be it. Now..... less than 24 hours ago this was a clean, paste waxed machine but after a short trip through Florida during "Love Bug season" at 80 plus miles per hour this definitely qualifies as my crappiest case.



They are called "Love Bugs" because...well...they just fly around .ing all the time to insure that there is another love bug season.
As you can see I have done my best to help control the population but I'm afraid it's a war that can't be won. These bugs have some very interesting traits....once they splatter their bodies all over your car they quickly harden into a product similar to epoxy. In otherwords plan on spending about a day trying to scrub them off of your car. Another great trait is that once they have spread their bodies all over your car their remains start eating into the paint within seconds. Here's how it works...if you can get them off within 24 hours they may only etch the clearcoat....give them 48 hours and they will eat all the way to the primer.



Nice case huh....you see the areas that aren't white splatters but still look like splatters. That's how the clear looks if you get them off within the first 24 hours.

When the season is finally over I will have to wet sand the entire front end with 600Grit and reclear it (just like every year before)

We have them here also there real bad just like that at certain times

We get them twice a year .....once in the spring and again in the fall.

Well, i never had any luck to buy or get a good computer case or a power supply.

My first case which i bought in 2001 has got corrupted & the 250W 20-pin power supply has burnt due to some
power surges though i use an UPS.The PSU has got an yellow spot on the ATX 20-pin motherboard connector.
It's working but if the machine runs in full load, the machine gets restarted.

As the case & the PSU are damaged, i really really need a new case & a PSU because if i continue to run
my machine with this burnt psu, my PC can be affected.As, my father has retired from work, i don't want to tease him
by asking him to buy me a new case & a PSU.I also can't afford them being a part timer.Frankly speaking, i do have a
responsibility towards my family & i don't want to invest so much money for my own needs.

this is my G5 case with part of the computer still in it. unless i use a crowbar its not coming out. afterwords i have to deal with drilling new mounting holes and than cut out the back for the motherboard ports. its a heavy case but the amout of work i would have to do just to say "its not a mac but a PC!" would be funny but not worth that much effort. a new case is needed for my newest creature of old computers thrown togther. than again if i had that nice new NZXT Case i would have to buy a new computer to match it *cross fingers*


if that doesnt count than i guess than dell case will have to due. the drive is stripped it place so its not coming out. the psu is 200Watts just enough to run an AMD Xp or the P3 that inside the case right now. the front is falling off as you can see and it has smoke damage from a fire (it doesnt smell so good) but it is my last resort when i need it.

My crappy looking HTPC case




It has a Pentium D, an MSI mobo,Sony DVD-RW & 512 MB of ram.Some days ago the PSU got burned.Now, i really need atleast a new PSU because you can see the damage.



So, if i get to win the case & the PSU, i'll be able to replace my HTPC case which doesn't provide more than one optical drive bay but
i would like to use 2 optical drives.My system really needs a new case & a new PSU.Please do a justice to me.

My Killer eMachines 633id Case.

And this is no joke my old case and PSU took a crap and I had to put the guts into this one (Thank god I had a micro ATX Mobo. I am getting a new DVD drive but havent had the money to get a new case and PSU yet. Maybe by August I can and maybe I will just build another computer if the I can come up with the cash. Needless to say the temps when I play my games in this one get REALLY high. Usually around 90C. Oh well, good luck to all. Someone will get lucky with this win.

That computer case ended up fring two motherboards because of overheating. the reason is cause my two western digital raptors were blocking the only intake fan which is an 80mm fan which even if the hard drives wasen't there the fan wouldn't move any air. The two out take fans that are 80mm fans i had to change to take in air to blow some cool air over my o so hot cpu which i am currently trying to get better cooling for my new motherboard and processor, so really if i don't win i will just end up putting my new set up on my desk with some anti static bagging and just end up buying some more 120mm fans to run over my new mobo.

I hope you guys pick my ugly and always over heating computer.
