I have a simple mod idea in mind, however the images on newegg show the Lian-li PC-61 which would but a big problem into my plan. For this idea to work out right I am looking for a black case but could go with another color (posibilly spray paint it?) which brought me to the Lian-li PC-60 which shows NO side fan slot. I was wondering a) if the PC-61 actually has that fan slot and b) if the pc-60 would be spray paintable and if so, how I could go about it.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you are looking for....the one case has a "vent" in the side panel where you could mount a fan the other does not and you would have to cut a hole yourself for a fan. As far as painting them...sure you could but would you really want to ruin such a nice brushed alumininm case with paint? If you are hell bent on painting something get a cheap steel case. cool.gif

Im pretty sure the side panels that come with the PC-61 is the same that came with my PC-7B. The panel doesnt actually have a "real" fan mount but they do sell them. You can use the long bolts that come with most fans to screw the fan onto the side but chances are that either you wont be able to fit in all of the screws or the fan will be a tad cockeyed (neither really looks bad).

If you mean the vent only, then yes. Im almost positive it comes with a side vent.

From my understand both cases are made of the same material so spray painting should be equally possible with both.

would you be willing to get me diminsions on where the vent is and how large it is, as well as the total size of the pannel.

One of the things to keep in mind is where do you want the fan to blow.....the vents are placed at the bottom rear of the panel so that air is pulled through the entire case but that is not always the best place to put a fan....you may want air pushed directly at the gpu or cpu.... a fan placed where the vent is wouldn't do that as effectively. cool.gif

Well, see, the thing is, I'm not very interested in a fan at all. I am planing on a bit of a custom window on the side, which is why I am curious about this vent. From what I've gathered, however, is that you are computer case builder/modder extradonare so thank you for the input. You might be getting a PM from me in the future regarding other things case.tongue.gif
