hey guys
i have a sort of mess ....

I was thinking of getting a new case because there is not much space between the edge of the mobo and the hhd and dvd rack. so the cables wouldn't be so bunched up and i could feed them down the back of the mobo try and cut holes to hide the cables. has any one got any bright ideas to fix this .. ( it gets realy hot around the end of the gfx cards right now)

Jan 13 2007, 09:16 AM
in my opinion that looks fine. a smaller case would probably not work so well with your 5 harddrives. that's a lot of space by the way. how much exactly do you have?

IMO That looks good... look at mine... BTW: Whats the harddrives? I know you have one 150g Raptor, what about the rest? And it looks like an X-Blade case

There are tons of new full tower cases on the marked that would help you, new places for tons of HD's and so on. Also and upgrade to a modular PSU may help. Seems like you got that case maxed out as of now.

LOL..Duh.
firky & Unforgivin...OMG...I couldn't deal with that. IMO that is too cramped for my taste. Looks to restrictive and not much room to play around. Click on "Ogitchida-II" under my sig for a view of the room I prefer. I'd go a full tower firky

On a side note; That raid looks sexy as hell!! Me likes!!

Jan 13 2007, 02:33 PM
omg man is that a mini mobo or a huge case lol yeah i love my raid i think im going to ditch the 160gb mator for a 2nd 150gb raptor. but i just found out i need a new headset so. i might have to hold back on the hhd
Edit any ideas on a cool full tower i have about £100 to spend

I think it looks good inside. Maybe it's just me, but I like seeing space in a case being used

I will have to agree with The Unforgivin. I know I said this before in a different thread but I personally like the Tt Kandalf (Silver)

Well...your opinion counts but to reiterate or support my opinion on silver instead of the black is because of the less likely that you see accidental scratches, pesty dust build up and easier clean up. How do I know? Because I own a black case and IMPO it's a pain in the arse to keep clean. A friend of mine has the silver one and it is really quite attractive to see. Those photos don't do justice at all. Anyways...As Unforgivin is stressing, I still agree with him. The armors are very nice also. Quite honestly I am having a hard time deciding between the two for my next case.
*EDIT* I was just thinking. I also think that Black colored cases are over-played as well as blue lighted fans.

LOL i like blue led fans : / true silver does not show the dust alf as much as a black case
well to day i decided that but for i spent £100 i would see what i could do with my case so i cut holes in it and here we have a less messy case.
befor

mid way

Edit: I didn't have any C or u shaped tubeing to finish the edges off so i had to tape them till i get some next week.
ha ha omg looking at my pic and i havnt pluged the dvd power in LOL

By any chance did you CLEAN your pretty '
blue fan' while you were in there? You probably will achieve more CFM followed by better cooling for your sexy raid.

I personally think that black cases looks better at night and black pretty much goes with all colors too (not only fans or lights, but also colors in the room).
And, your case looks much better all cleaned up

i have pretty similar mobo clearance to the drive rack in my FULL tower...

the MID tower chieftecs have the same clearance around the mobo, it's just the top of the case that doesn't extend as high above the psu... just like Psycho's MID-tower
in any case (haha pun), i think a side intake above the graphics cards would help a lot

It looks a TON better now; I'll bet that took a long time. I am a big fan of full-tower cases adn wires management. When I get my new cooler installed I will be posting some new pics. I have the much debated, sometimes loved, and sometimes hated Tt Shark. I really like it, but there are only a few Tt cases that I really do like, most of them are the new ones. the Kandalf and Armor now come in full-tower. I would also suggest the CoolerMaster 830 or the Antec 900, even though the 900 is not a full-tower. Larger cases give plenty of room to work in, but the drawback is finding room for them. I have to put mine on the flor next to my crappy desk that I want to replace, and I have to blow it out more than any other that I have ever had. I have modded it a little bit, even though my modding skills are very limited. I can say that all of my guests that enter the home are impressed with the prowess and size of my PC, as well as the interior that is much nicer looking than most people have usually seen.
