I got this CoolMax CP500T for christmas off of the egg. Haven't put it in yet. Does anyone know anything about CoolMax or its power supplies?

Not so Good.

its not the best but it should power a semi decent system like a 3800x2 with minimal drives, and something like a 7900gt without any issues. i wouldnt try to use it with any super high end stuff.

what kinna system are you contemplating putting it in? It all depends on that!

It had pretty good reviews. I hadn't heard about them but I figured it couldn't be that bad. Here's the link. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817159040

I read a couple of the reviews, it seems to be pretty good actually, but then there's this guy who wanted to run dual x1950xtx's in crossfire and wonders why his system is shutting down if he loads up a game rolleyes.gif

if you have a high end system i would return it then go with a ocz power supply there pretty stable.

I just plan on running an athlon x2 4200 with a 7900gs and 2 gigs of ram. Nothing real major or intense. I'll also have maybe 4 drives. So, not a whole lot. My 300w that came with the case did that fine minus the 7900gs. It was a hipro if i can recall.
