Well....might be time for a new PSU.... starting to get hiccups in the system and more and more it is pointing at my PSU.... but it is a few years old and served me well!
But I have an odd question
I'm looking at this Psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817341002but I run a VERY large server case
http://www.coolcases.com/cases/sr102107_s_p1.htmlso I need a power supply with looooong cables..... especially the main power lines to the mobo... anyone have the above PSU that can comment on the length of the wires... or another recommendation?
Thanks

I have an OCZ GXS 700w in a Lian-li pc65 and while it may not be a big case Im 100% anal when it comes to seeing wires so they're routed everywhere. My last psu I had to make some cable exstensions but these are pretty long. I have the exact lengths somewhere if I find them Ill edit them in.
edit:
Well I found the specs and the GXS may not be good for that case. Try looking into Silverstone Etasis psus they have very long cables

I have the same psu in a CM Stacker and all of the cables were long enough for my needs. If you can run the cables to the motherboard through the holes below the motherboard i dont see why it would not work.

how long distances are we talking about here? I meen in Inches or w/e, cause thats something that we can measure etc... Long bla short meaning, how long does the cable need to be to fit that case?

I'll have to measure....
but what it is is that the case is plit into 2 halves... the water cooling, drives, and power supply are all on one side....
and the motherboard is on the other side......
so the main 20x4 cable and the 4 pin cord need to be a bit longer than normal.....
I went ahead and orderd the OCZ 700w PSU and a 20x4 extension a 4 pin extension cable just in case..........
I hadn't run a calculator on the PSU requirement for a while....
came up with 418w needed.. (I've added a few drives and stuff over the years, and upgraded to 64bit too!....)
and I'm only running a 420w TT PSU!
I guess it has done well over the years... but I'm getting more BSOD's and failures... and everything checks out... so its time for the PSU upgrade!

I bet you'll be fine...If they aren't long enough, you might have to go out and get individual extenders for the cables you need extended. If you don't feel like spending more money, you can always solder the cords longer
