Trying to keep the computer JDM and my Thermaltake 480 Purepower powersupply is not cutting it. it seems like it is not providing enough power for my rig to run properly with all the fans turned up.

The only thing the computer has is an OC with 2.415Ghz on an Barton 2800 with 1.925 volts and 2 sticks of ram PC-2700 at 2-2-2-11 @ 2.9V

1 Harddrive, and an Nvidia 7800 GS.

6 vantech tornado fans. all 80MM's except 1 which is a 92mm.

welp the Thermaltake 480 is not cutting it does anyone have any recommendations? I would really like it to have NO LEDs and no lights. I was sorta pissed my fan controller and my BFG Videocard has LED's stock.. because i absolutly hate LED lights on the computer (except for the power and harddrive lights on the case)

i was looking at some OCZ PSU's but they seem to all have LED lights on them

Tagan comes to mind when thinking of no lights, no nonsense good psu's... i want to get one (or ePower/Topower as they are the same company) to replace *my* Tt 480 Purepower Butterfly (lol) psu

That list is getting seriously out of date now.
I really must remedy that, and soon.

I keep thinking I'll do it, then think of how long it took me to update it last time (before it got wiped out in the crash).

Tagan! I can speak for Tagan and they're PSU's are SOLID! I HIGHLY recommend

You could go with the Tagan v2 580watt

but look over all their products http://www.tagan.com/ they have a lot of new great ones up to 1100watts

I suggest the new Antec Earthwatts, I am not sure if these are available to purchase yet, so you may have to wait a bit. I have not finished testing the unit I have yet, but from what I can tell so far, these are awesome... also, they are built by Seasonic biggrin.gif (UL # E104405).

Heres a pic I shot of it today

haha iam using jdm as slang for no "bull shhhh"

JDM means no spoilers, no neon lights, no body kits on import cars. Basicaly keeping it to have an appearance that isn't flashy but the car is no doubt modified so that it can put any car with neon lights, huge sound system and huge spoiler in their places.

one big fan is usually quieter than a couple small ones. Bigger blades= less "WHOOSH'

also when it comes right down to it you could always just mod the psu and change the fan out if it does have leds in it d3 and i both did it to our kingwin 450watt psus a few years ago this is the psu i am talking about too we changed that silly looking tri colored led fan to a red led fan
