On the side of my case, there is a window with a precut 80mm fan hole and I have been thinking about making it a 120mm hole, just for more air coming in. Has anyone done this before and if so how did you go about doing this and was it easy?

Also would you guys suggest putting more than 1 fan on the side of the case? I was thinking about moving the 80mm into the top corner and adding one in the bottom corrner to blow more on the cpu fan and the pci cards...

thanks in advance...

Verran's guide of cutting a vent will give you an idea of one technique: http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=67100

i'd personally go for the holesaw method seeing as i have two 114mm holesaws (one is a bit blunted, perfect for acrylic)

do you think that it would be worth putting 1 120mm and 2 80mm fans on the side of a case and one 80mm on the top? side as intake and top as exaust?

but thank you for linking that guide...it looks good and did help me out a little bit...

More Air movement the better, from all of our experances.

Always make sure your exhaust ='s or is greater then your total intake.
You dont want hot air just sitting in their not getting sucked out.

Also dont forget about the noise factor.
make sure u get quiet fans.. trust me on this..
I used to think it was no big deal, and now that I have had my PC for a while all my fans are now quiet fans lol..

Thanks for that tad bit of information, I will agree about the loud fan noise being annoying, thats why I built my current rig, well at least my excuse...dual processors are just too loud, unless you go with aftermarket fans...
