w00t, nice times ohmy.gif Can't compete there with my E6400, although I was testing my D9GMH's yesterday night for a while wink.gif 4-4-3-11 @ 400MHz seems to work alright for SuperPI, couldn't be bothered to do other stuff. This 965P-DS4 does not play well with D9GMH memory sad.gif

Greetings ph34r.gif

I've just got my machine fully up and running today, after a few setbacks, and I'm starting to get my head round overclocking with c2ds smile.gif

I'm at 3400mhz at the moment, 55*c dry.gif Methinks I need to lap the U-120x laugh.gif

Anyways... I've got a preliminary SuperPi 1M of 15.188s.

I'll get down to the serious business tomorrow smile.gif 4ghz+ here I come laugh.gif

3.6ghz ... 450x8, 1.5v, 57-60*c load

I need to tighten the memory timings up.... how fast does this g.skill ddr2 get up to? (i.e. what are people running it at?)

Windows doesn't load on 3.7 sad.gif any ideas?

On orthos it has to be 24 hours I think. OCCT a 30 minute test. Superpi 1m and 32m dual instances run at the same time..

laugh.gif Not quite at that stage yet...

RAM is 1:1 @ 460 (so, 920mhz)... wont run at 4-4-4-12, or 5-5-5-15 huh.gif When I leave it on auto it goes to 5-6-6-17... they're also getting rather warm unsure.gif

Also, when I try and run dual 1M (loading it up twice and hitting 'go' roughly at the same time I get this (attached) ... yet it'll do orthos and occt fine. Am I doing something wrong here?

You have to create two separate folders with superpi in them and I renamed one superpi.exe so not to cause conflicts...
kingdingeling
withstupid.gif I had that problem at the start as well, but then I figured it out laugh.gif

Well it looks like i am gonna have to take some of the new records on this contest. No one wants to run Orthos for 24 hours to really validate their OC. Max suicide mean NADA to me I want 24/7 clocks.

Heres 24 hour prime stable at 3960. Memory 1:1 5-4-4-12. Up next Super Pi

Thats pretty good even though it is a ES chip....

Edit: How many volts did you have to give it ccokeman?

Crap RAM timings FTL Lego tongue.gif Get those G.Skills screaming with Volts wink.gif

Hmm... how much can they take... the sticker says 2.1v - so I'm gussing about 2.3v?
They get bloody hot at 2.3 dry.gif
kingdingeling
put a small fan on them (80 or something), and you'll be fine! I have a Thermalright SI-120 hovering above them, so they stay nice and cool wink.gif 2.3V's sounds alright, they can take more though!

New OCCT at 4050, I cant get it to pass with RAM timings of 5-5-5-15. I had to loosen them, even took the new G. Skill HZ out of one of my folding rigs and tried it. I am trying to find a stable higher clock to run orthos at...

I am not going to push it any harder, this is with 1.7 vcore setting in the bios 1.68 cpuz 4104. Orthos next!

Well here is a little higher clock speeds for me and a suicide SS...

kingdingeling
keep 'em coming, I am just too lazy to clock my E6400 again, I really want to, but it's a lot of hassle tongue.gif
gotdamojo06
yeah, its also frustrating and time consuming haha!

I for some reason cant get it passed 3720MHz (465*8) for a suicide. Every time that I try, it starts to load then just reboots at the windows loading screen sad.gif

maybe it has something to do with the very high FSB of 1860MHz...who knows?
gotdamojo06
Well I dont know why it failed but my validation did sad.gif

3800MHz (475x8) is the highest that I can get it on a suicide ATM

Are you using easytune? Thats what I used...
kingdingeling
added the 3.8GHz shot! You might want to try SetFSB or Clockgen as well smile.gif

@ King & road-runner, Im just going into the BIOS and hoping that it will boot...haha!

I boot into windows as high as I can get then use easytune, with the 6850 I can boot in windows at 4200 then use easytune..
gotdamojo06
well i just downloaded easytune 5 and booted with 3640 and I cant get it much further than 3800

Ill have to mess with it more than 5 min smile.gif

Core 2 Quad, air 3402Mhz OCCT stable, Just got it together this evening. I have to get a better fan for the Ultra 120, I took one off my radiator from the 6850 rig, a medium speed fan. biggrin.gif

not quite, but you may need a pair of glasses laugh.gif
or wait, are you red/green colour blind? Cause that'd make sense.

No I am not color blind, the red and orange are so close its hard to tell them apart, why not make it a different color or just make all of them the same color... smile.gif
kingdingeling
to me they are quite a bit apart laugh.gif

Thats pretty good for a single instance. You will have to run two at the same time if you want your scores to be posted.

Just bin playin around with my E6850 ..

hardnrg
had a week off of work... been ill as hell, but managed to put my E6600 rig together at last...

E6600, Conroe
Water

some preliminary results from an evening's first go at 775 overclocking:

SPi 1M @ 3750 MHz

SPi 32M @ 3600 MHz

update!!!

SPi 32M @ 3750 MHz

at the moment it's all about CPU speed, once I've settled on the CPU, I'll mess with the RAM to get the performance in line smile.gif

kingdingeling
finally went about and updated this tongue.gif I need to start OCing again biggrin.gif
hardnrg
played around with the CPU OC and it looks like 8x450.3=3602 is the max stable in OCCT

E6600, 8x450.3=3602
water

So then I decided to try out some tighter timings at 450.3MHz on the ram... 4-3-3-10-2T

OCCT @ 3602:

SPi 1m @ 17s:

SPi 32m @ 20m11s:
hardnrg
SPi 1M @ 16.234s

SPi 32M @ 18m55s
kingdingeling
Pretty cool stuff! smile.gif

I just played with my E6400 and that was frustrating, simply frustrating. More info in this thread --> http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=75228
hardnrg
E6600 @ 8x445=3560 MHz
water

Orthos 24 hours:

This is my final OC, 3590 MHz failed after 6 hours something

Orthos (failed @ 3590 MHz)

and I've been notching it down 10 MHz at a time, and finally got it to pass 24 hours...

I'm a bit disappointed with the CPU oc, but I guess it's just a bit of a lame CPU... 3.56 on water is a bit lame, but it's still better than my 170 lol, and the 8800GTS OC 640 @ 698/1040 is no kick in the sack either laugh.gif

I think I got a better chip this go round. The VID on this one is 1.2375 where my other quad is 1.325 VID. Could be a combination of a better MB and PSU on this rig also. I believe the chip still has some more in it. I am at 1.375 bios vcore setting. This is the first run of OCCT, I am going to let it fold for a while at 3600Mhz and let the arctic silver settle in. smile.gif
