if i did would they still work to the full potential? and do i have to worry about the paint chipping off or anything?

it is standard spray paint, nothing special, high gloss

if you could do a light sand with like say 200 or so grit, it would help the paint stay on the plastic. Also, they make paints specificly for plastic. I myself would honestly not paint a fan due to chipping, but if you sand it right you shouldnt have any problems.

you needto take it apart and paint the individual parts dont just take the fan out back and paint it
