I'm trying to decide which case to get for a friend. He's building a budget comp so it has to be cheap; anyways, I found 2 aluminum cases... One has a 300w psu and the other has a 380w psu, but the 300w is cheaper and it has more expansion and has a window. He wants that one, but I don't know about the 300w. Is a 300w enough to run a P4 2.26 and a GF 4600?

yeah probably but it'd be close, if you can then Id go for the better psu so you dont run into problems down the road.

well you only need a PS +300 when you are going install case lights and 4 CD/R's, fancontrolers, 5 case-fans,...
i mean, if you don't use much of the supply, (if you have a 420W you have 10 cables) , so if you need only 5 , you should buy a 300W or something.
it all depends on what you are going to install, and the things you install need much voltage smile.gif
