Should I purchase a new case to mod/install this LCD in? I don't know that the Aspire XDreamer II is 'good' enough to damage, nor waste effort on modding. Need some input, before I waste the time and effort modding this case.

If you would rather see me put this lcd in a different case, please tell me which case! I wouldn't mind a case change.

That's not a playstation one lcd screen, is it?

What kind of screen is that? Basically all you have left is to cut a rectangle out of your case and throw that LCD in it...or you could mod some kind of slide out so that it will come out of a 5 1/4" bay, that's what I would do.

It happens to be a 'PS1' lcd, but not the 'sony' branded version. It is an Intec branded model, and it has analog(rca) input, which is fine, I have s-video out, and an s-video to analog(rca) converter.

How would you describe the slide out? I need ideas! And that sounds really cool, right about now.

Slides out and then flips up like a laptop screen...inspired by the 1U server pullout monitors at work, lol.
