I just thought that it would be a great opportunity to announce another forum is about to start over the next few days I am going to a sleeper rig from 0 to hero and all the info will be here! This is going to be the cranked up sleeper with some amazing equipment but the beauty of it is… It’s not mine all this work and love is going to go to a friends rig so I get to play with all the parts and tools and make it ultra fast but I end up going back to my rig, which can be seen here on the MultiMonitor page. I don’t know about ya’ll but what a great way to start. Pictures and info to follow!

so like a phase-change cooled rig inside a putty-coloured emachines case or something? laugh.gif

so by the time I remembered that I was posting the work that I was doing it was to late to put the crappy MSI n1996 P4 MoBo back in and take pictures so what you folks are getting is the abbreviated version of all of my work last night!! So in the case was a maxtor 80gB HDD, 52x CDROM, 32x CDR, the crappy MSI MoBo with the equally crappy iNTEL 2.24Ghz chip (not sure on the specifics), 300w PSU, 256Mb RAM, and a sweet Xtasy 9600XT / 128MB DDR / PCI card. Sweet for the fact that it is the best piece of hardware in the case and I don’t have to help my friend figure out what he need to get. So here is the case front / Side view.

Ok so the sleeper is done until the 92mm fan comes in for the rear of the case. This is the case up and running, very smooth this machine is crapin' fast, the last thing that it touched that was this fast was my boys BMW M3. Here is a Picture of the case and wire management. I think it’s pretty clean. (NOTE: the fan had not been mounted due to the fact that I lost the screws in a pile of packaging from all the components I mounted it before I buttoned her up.

Here is that Wicked 500w PSU from VORTEC It is awesome with an adjustable fan speed and the fan LEDS brighten and dim as the fan speeds change very cool.

An unexpected result is at night the Slats in the bezel glow blue from the 80mm LED fan.

Overall the case is a major success the owner is happy and I was able to do an up grad and make on machine.

On a personal note, The AMD 3200+ is amazing I have never used an AMD before but I am a believer I have done a lot of research in order to start building my new rig, and the DFI LanParty is the board for me but that AMD chip is astounding I have never seen performance like that before so Goodbye Intel, Hello AMD Athalon 64 3800+ X2.

looks cool... blue led kinda takes away the "sleeper" effect hehe... you should put a 92mm fan at the back of the case tho...

Looks nice. Good job.

The 92mm fan is on back order with TigerDirect, and though an unforseen byproduct the effect will remain in place, the owner loves it. So i think that the sleeper is a sucess but with some added benifits!
