PSU FAQ (refer to post #7)

BTW, I highly doubt a office supply store would carry a computer item like that. A electronics store like Fry's or Radio Shack might.

I think I saw them in a Circuit City near where I live one day. Not sure though because I wasn't looking for one.

ill check all the stores out tomorrow and see if i can find one. i was thinking maybe radio shack would have them but I dunno.

If you are getting one for use on a DFI board just because they said you need a 24 pin PSU, DON'T! It is just better getting a quality 24 pin PSU instead of putting extra stress on your +5v rail when it can't deliver it.

Yes you will need a Sli compatible power supply if your going SLI later on.

Using the newegg search feature, you can easily find Power supplies that are Sli compatible, now obviously you don't have to buy the power supply off newegg, but you can see a wide selection.

Its a good idea to get one otherwise you could have problems powering the video cards.

I went ahead and bought the Antec SLI power supply 500 watt and got it installed and running. only bad thing about it is it only come with 4 plugs to power ide devices which has 2 plugs on each so you only have a total of 8 power plugs. I have 4 IDE HDDS and 3 CD-Drives + fans and ect. It has 2 sata cables which powers 4 sata drives but i dont have sata drives (yet). it also has 2 pci-e power plugs which i used instead of the one that came with my video card because that way only the video card is working off the one cable and no other devices are hooked to it. should be better that way. other than that seems like a good ps.
