I just took apart an apple laptop from 1994, because it had some problems and I wanted to keep the old LCD screen and maybe do something with it. The problem is that I don't know how to arrange the 15 color-coded wires to make it VGA compatible.
BTW, if it isn't possible without a voltage meter, then just tell me. I'm at college, so all of my real gear is at home.
Order: 1 x White, 2 x Gray, 2 x Purple, 2 x Blue, 2 x Green, 2 x Yellow, 2 x Orange, 1 x Black, 1 x Red

hmmm.......they change all the time and it also changes depending on the make/year/power of the screen.
I will ask some people about it for you

that sounds like a good idea so your taking the screen off an old laptop and using it for something else that would be tight if you mounted it to the side of a com case and then you could take you com anywhere.

My idea isn't original though, I saw it on a case in some other forums. His played MST3K episodes constantly. It was awesome.
The only problem is that the connector used in this laptop is not DVi or VGA, so I need to figure out which wires correspond to which VGA pins so I can build a connector that will work with my comp.
