What is a good brand to replace my wimpy 350 Watt PSU............I have a sempron 754 2800 Gig of ram 9600xt all-in-wonder 80GB HDD and cd-rw/dvd-rom/7-1 card reader...how my power supply do i need? I also need a good brand...I am going to fry's to get my psu sunday afternoon so i can play bf2 again...

for cheap but good psu get an aspire 500watt but the better brans are enermax, antech, ocz(i think) and a few others i acant remember but for your system i would go with atleast a 450watt

the antec neo power 480. imo one of the worlds best 400w psu. you can also check out the ocz powerstream.

Thanx guys............. how much power generally would I need to power that machine above....(in first post)

I tried the PSU alone(green and black cable) and it works???(whats going on?)It works now but i don't wanan use it know..I'm afraid it is faulty.....
What could I do to test te PSU alone for stability......
Once again I need a good estimate on how much the system above would use....

A 230Watt Generic one that came with the case..................
I used this one and my computer starts to windows..... So nothing is damaged
But I can't use this cheap one..don't wanna risk frying MOBO...

$50 is a little low but If you can manage another$15 i would say this one would do for you.
