so lets say you measure the ripple of your rails and core voltages....
whats acceptable? my old Tt430 PSU had a .26 ripple....ive been told thats alot but whats medium and whats little and whats acceptable? so whats alright for:
12v, Vcore, 5v, 3.3v ? i know dead solid is the achieveable goal, but whats still alright to have?

(and just to let people know what the Enermax 535w PSU is like on an XPm system at high overclock,...here it is:)

seems to be overvolting just a tad on that 12 eh? its a dual rail system.....
i hit 32c load and 29c case during this test

the tolerance on most psu's is 5%... on good psu's (like mine heh) it's 3%

i also believe the motherboard regulates some of the voltages which may explain the slight ripple there...

here's mine:

where do you go to test such things?
cchalogamer
umm idk about the test...i jsut look at a mutlimeter hooked to the PSU and see if it jumps around, mine doesnt im happy (though my board's sensors report 11.7v...which is wrong)

you need to have mbm installed and set up to be reading at least the basics right (not so easy since developement stopped some time ago)

then you need occt...

i use speedfan....works VERY nicely....can set it up to track trends while doing other things...so when you get out of a game you can check where your temps/volts went.
Ste
I also used to use speed Fan 5.
