Surf on over to
Linspire.com then go to "Buy Now" and apply coupon code: LycorisWelcome
You will then get Linspire OS for free! Usually sells for about $50 bucks.
Limitations: The coupon is ONLY valid between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM. You will also get this error when you enter the coupon if its not during those times

YOu burn the ISO and it's pretty much like a Windows XP CD, only it installs Linspire instead of XP

Anyway, DLing my copy now

i got 4. something when they changed their name from Lindows
It really is a great OS for the webbrowsing, email checking, office apps user. and has GREAT suport for a Linux distro, it plays windows related file fine, and if not for the fact that it somethime feels slow and sluggish, i would probibly use if for atleast one of my PCs

I'm plesantly suprised. It appears to still work. I have been wanting to try this out, see how the linux for windows people really is, but I have not wanted to buy it, so now I have a legal copy, and the price was right!

You may have lived there, but you are still wrong. It all depends on the timezone. Yes,
part of the US may be 5 hours behind the UK, but not all of it, including the part that matters for this deal.
EST is -5 GMT
EDT is -4 GMT
CST is -6 GMT
CDT is -5 GMT
MST is -7 GMT
MDT is -6 GMT
PST is -8 GMT
PDT is -7 GMT
...
Right now,
most of the US is in Daylight-Savings Time. The UK happens to be on "Summer Time" which is GMT+1.
That means there is an 8 hour differance between the time in Western US and the UK.
As stated in an earlier post, the code has to be used between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM Pacific Time.

Jul 6 2005, 07:49 AM
well, what guju means is that from the point of reference of an observer in the UK, the US has one single time zone. However, in the US, we subdivide and multiply the timezones to make four. Nah, he is just wrong.
but 5+3=8
