w00t. Eric clapton rules. Nice job, lost the bubbly cathode though it looks kindof out of place.

That's the most power hungry cd-player i have ever seen. smile.gif

Woah...not that this thread isn't 56k friendly, but your host is definately not fast enough to host pictures that large.

Anyway, does it have any speakers built in or any sort of amplification besides the built in headphone jack? I'd get some cheapy comuter speakers and build them into each side if I could, just power the amp off the psu. biggrin.gif
airman
haha that's awesome xD

lol thanks guys..
well yes i thought about speakers but i curently dont have an amp boards lying around... its good sound though with headphones.. and yes the bubbly thing is out of place so dont know why i put that on there and about the pictures... im hosting them off my "server" computer on my cable line which is curently downloading like 15 cd's of bit torrent... all of them are underground, unsigned bands though of course wink.gif
sorry about the slowness

edit: for master.... the cd player is powered by the psu board which ive mounted to plexi.. thats it basically.. a few small mods and stuff on there too but a cd-rom drive can just play normal cd's an u can control it with those buttons on the front of most cd-roms...

if anybody else gets ideas (i might make a boombox too) i say go the same design.. with an amp board hooked up to the digital audio ports in back of a cd-rom and throw in some speakers and maybe a mini sub hooked up to psu!

Woah. That looks dangerous. Stick that floating switch to something before the metal "screw me to something" part shorts the "PSU"??? Eeeek!
m0rphr3us
thats a good idea LOL

lol. Is that an actual proper generic ATX PSU?
m0rphr3us
basically its just an atx psu i found in my room.. took off the cover.. took the board out and mounted to plexi and mounted some of the stuff (not all as pointed out just like 2 posts ago) and also i cut a bunch of wires so theres only 1 actual set to power my cd-rom, fans, and light
kobalt
That's a really good idea, modding skillz and ingeniousity at it's best loll laugh.gif
