The new dremel... i dunno how new but i want it.
http://dremel.com/HTML/home_fr.html

so how good is it? there is a new Lithium Ion dremel out too but cordless power tools, i dont like!

What are the impressions of the new XPR??? I work in construction so i would be using it for things other than modding so just an all around how is it? The set i want has every accessory imaginable plus like a planer and saw attachment. FUN

Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the XPR? is it too new for anyone to even own it? lol. i saw it at home depot the other day and my dad's recently crapped out as it was like 6 or more years old. Any feedback is good, keep in mind i probably will use every accessory at some point in time.

i couldnt get any link to work right so just click on the xpr ad on the front page smile.gif

i dont see what makes it so different from the one i got? i got the most expensive corded one i could get $60.. plus my 20% discount at Ace... i personally think mine looks better... i love that thing smile.gif

i have the XPR, and i really like it, its really powerful for a dremel. for a corded one IMO, it is the best. thats what i used to make my window

i fell into some money and am of course going to spend it! i dont know the main differences but my guess would be the new attachments that make it more like a rotozip as opposed to just a rotary tool.

EDIT: also i do tile/laminant work and it would make for better use in those situations. but yea it is still the same old 5k-35k motor but it is newer and better and prettier and umm they used intimidating letters like "XPR" to describe it lol

probably has a stronger current so it doesnt bog down as much, it says its more powerful

I dont like Dremels, I have 2, and the heads fell off, not the bits, the part that holds the bit, just fell off while cuting a hole on the CD drive I turned into a stack of blanks. http://forums.overclockersclub.com/Cd_Jukebox-t51643.html
I was driling the holes for the LED's and it just fell off at 35000 RPM, lucaly, the bit stoped before it hit me.

I used one of those and I like it alot better than the older models. The older ones I found vibrated alot and kinda hurt to hold but they fixed all that with this new model. The only bad thing was the little bump in the back kept hitting what I was cutting. I love it I think it is worth it.

I used only dremel till i found this, you can see why on the pic laugh.gif
Got this baby at canadian tire for $140 with all the attachment, router angle grinder, circle cutter, 3 ft flexible shaft etc. Home Depot must have a close relative tongue.gif
