ok you guys heard of the 7V mod you can do on the fan's molex connector by changing the pin placing... instead of wires to +12V and Ground, it goes to +12V and +5V.. yeah will it damage your psu in any way after a long run?? or damage anything else? i know it wont damage your fan but instead prolong the fan life..but im more concern for the psu biggrin.gif

I have like.. two 80mm fans in my computer using that 7v trick and two 80mm in my brothers computer using the same trick... AND one more in my briefcase computer. No problems here! The ones in my computer and one of them in my brothers have been like it for like.. 2 years or something now. I also had a couple of 120mm fans 7v modded running off my computer whilst I was exploring water cooling.

biggrin.gif I have 2 knobs on the front of my PC that regulate the speeds of my 4 case fans and another knob to regulate the speed of the 2 fans near the harddrive. This is by the temp display.

But that is different than what you are talking about. If I had all of my fans running on full all the time it would be too loud. Plus the LED's are dimmer when tthe fans are on low which is nice if you don't want alot of blue LED output.

lol i dont really care about LED just as yet..no clear window for my pc case just as yet.. biggrin.gif
