I appologize my comrades of the Fox of Fire...

But I've now switched to Opera...

And I am loving it! Mouse gestures, extremely fast loading! I know what I'm going to use when I get my computer back up and running biggrin.gif.

Sorry, but I've got to say it.

Now you've discovered what I've been saying for.... Ohh.... ever. tongue.gif

I think I'd have to quit the Internet if something ever happened to Opera. wink.gif

haha, we all have our preferences. I've tested Opera and I don't really like it. Firefox satisfied my needs better than IE and Opera. So, I prefer FF. But props to you for switching over to Opera.

PS. DON'T EVER SWITCH BACK TO INTERNET EXPLORER. DON'T EVER AND I MEAN THAT. haha. I just had to do it w/ caps. Sorry guys.

I thought Opera was free. It asks for $39 to remove ads??

The version with ads IS free. If you get tired of them, then you gotta pay. Personally, they don't bother me.
kurosen
just get yourself a key and be happy with it... trust me, $39 for a lifetime of better browsing is worth it smile.gif

you paid a load more for IE anyway, didn't you?
Silverfox
it definitely is each to their own i guess - i never slate opera....because i have never used it! i really like firefox a lot now, and the old "if it aint broken, don't fix it" keeps haunting me. and that i am happy as i am, means i dont need to change i guess.

didnt know about ads - but i guess thats not the end of the world - it'd just be weird after using FF with no ads. i might invetigate in the future...

...only beef with FF...is that the initial loading is slow. might have to add it to start-up...

Same... I didn't really buy Opera to remove the ads... I bought it to help support it. smile.gif

i have tried opera and i found that i really prefer FF

Do not get me wrong yes I paid more for IE tongue.gif I was just afraid that I might have downloaded something wrong since I heard it is free. I have not run it yet so was being a tad cautious tongue.gif

Allright I am running Opera and it is not bad but the thing that annoys me is the space between the page tabe and the personal tab. Is there a way to reduce the space???

You'll need to be a bit more speciffic. tongue.gif There is a lot you can do with the way Opera looks. But you should be able to do anything you wanty by going into your appearance preferances.

Move things around and hide what you dno't want.
Silenc3
The one time I did test opera the loading wasnt really fast.

but kudos to you for finding something ya like
Vasto
I like the skin emil, it makes opera smaller.
Also, my school might have a few liscenses lying around. PM me for more info.
BiPolar
for me, opera was definitely faster, but i just liked the firefox interface better. so, for me, the extra boost in speed (which was somewhat negligible, although noticeable) was not enough to make me switch.
HoLoDreaM
i tried opera like a year or more ago.. dont know when, it was quite a while ago.... and it messed up a lot of pages due to its different coding or something... graphical forums would come up plain and ugly... it would center pages that werent supposed to be... i liked the GUI but the browsing sucked

Firefox is the only way to go.... and i know some of yall paid it.. but why would anyone want to BUY a browser?

I thought I was the only one with that problem. Is that normal?

I think a lot of forums do that intentionally (in any browser). I get that all the time when I google stuff. There's usually a link that says "full version" or something like that. My guess is it's to save bandwidth.

Well, if people pay for something, it's generally high quality (but not always... *cough* windows ME, dell, emachines.....). If people don't pay, companies go out of business. Opera's makers are still here (I think, unless someone bought the rights), so it's probably high quality.

Opera? Well, at least you're not using IE. thumbs-up.gif keeptyping.gif
