well sence i finally decided to check out my 6600 gt and get it working agin i now need a new psu.... this 350 w 12a on the 12v line is just not cutting it so exactly what is wrong with my x connect??
with the paper clip trick t powers up.... powers down... fans spin for like a sec. BUT i have opened it and cant find some of the screws soo..... u guys have any ideas
o and what is advanced exchanged?? or advanced replacement?? ultra was talking about that

RMA it with the advacnes option, you give them your credit card number and they send you a new one, you have 30 days so sent back the broken one or they rape you.

Edit: yeah, what he said.
If you opened the PSU you may have voided the warranty.

It is shorting out. Are any of the wires inside touching the side or each other?

nope.... but see when it DIED it would work for 30 mins... turn off 20 mins turn off ect..... il double check thou..

Have you checked your rails with a DMM?

what u mean check your rails... the psu is DEAD lol
but what happines when i send this x connect with some screws missing and the light takin out beucse it died...

But you said it powers up right? If it powers up then you can check the rails. It might be over volting and then OVP kicks in. SO when you check your 12v rail it starts at 12v and then goes up to 20 for say then you know there is a probelm.

O then you can good bye to that horrible psu and RMA it. I bet it was overvolting and then it burned out. Are your parts alright, hope it did not fry them

everything is fine.... i just had to go back to my old psu that makes my 6600 gt underclock........
but what happines when i send this x connect with some screws missing and the light takin out beucse it died....after they send me my new psu with the adv. placement thingy...??
askign once agin just to make sure i get a answer.....

ok I am, but if you have some messing screws then they might sent it back saying that it was opened. There is no void warrenty seal on the x-connect, so you might be able to send it in without a probelm.

just a missing cold cadothl now

found some screws that look EXACTLy like the originals except they were harder to get in.... that should pass i HOPE
now to contact x connect

...
hope they dont punish me for taking out that stupid light that died and just looked ugly beucase it wasnt doing anything...
