Hi. smile.gif
Right now i have some crappy Codegen case and PSU. I'm thinking of getting a new case and a good PSU.
I have chosen two cases but i don't know which one to choose. So if you have any comments about these cases then please post or if you know a better case then please also post. smile.gif

1. Thermaltake Silver XASER III LanFire Aluminum ATX MID Tower Chassis with X Large Side Window, Model "VM2000A"
2.Thermaltake LanMoto VA1000BWA

And i'm also thinking of buying a Tt PSU, Thermaltake W0043 480W Silent Purepower

So if you can then please provide comments about the cases (and PSU if you need to).

well normally, Tt and good dont fit together laugh.gif ... unsure.gif um... yeh but that PSU isnt really that great

The case.. well isnt that great either, but if you like it hey, its only a case tongue.gif
HoLoDreaM
i hear those cases are really awesome, their popular and very functional... they get good reviews too.. but for that price id get a different case, myself.. as for the power supply... i might go with an Antec or a OCZ Powerstream since Tt doesnt make good PSU's

Antec True480 - $95
Antec True550 - $100
OCZ Powerstream 520w - $141

etc.etc.etc.
Viper357
Thanks for the replies guys but still... i don't know which case to choose. biggrin.gif

to HoLoDreaM: dang. those Antec PSU-s are very cheap on newegg.com but i can't order from there (well i can but...) because it will turn out very expensive because i live in the EU. That Antec TRUEPOWER 480W PSU costs ~$170+ here.. so that's a bit expensive. sad.gif
ps. if you know a better case for that money then please mention the case. wink.gif i will gladly accept other cases that you might prefer for this price and all comments are welcome.

Ok. I looked around and found a better PSU! biggrin.gif
HEC POWER SUPPLY 475W ATX
So what do you think? tongue.gif

Well one of the most highly regarded cases among people are the ones made by Lian-Li...I didn't know what color you were looking for or the size for that matter, but I assumed silver and mid tower since that is what you chose for the Tt case. So here is my suggestion for a computer case that is in the same price range as the Tt you picked out.

Lian-Li "PC-65"

As for the PSU, I am not familar with that particular brand. I would stick to more reliable (not saying it isn't) ones like antec, ocz, or pc power and cooling.
Viper357
Well that Lian Li does look good but i think i'm gonna have trouble orderding it. biggrin.gif
And by the way, the second PSU that i chose is actually quite good (it's definetly better than the Tt biggrin.gif). You can compare it to antec... i mean, it's like antec but it's cheaper and not "so" powerful but it should do for me. smile.gif
ps. that lian li case looks kinda cramped :\

EDIT:

Ok i looked around and found some Lian Li cases that i can get.
You can find the cases that are availible to me here.
So go have a look around and tell me the best price/quality case. tongue.gif
Or if you think that Lian Li is not good than please suggest other good cases. smile.gif

The LanMoto is interesting, but a little bit too 'busy' for my tastes...

I have a

And a

For my Sig Rig.

BTW, Tt does not make PSU's...those are crappy re-branded Super Flower models. Avoid!!

Antecs are worth the money, trust me. I build and service PC's for a living and I will use nothing but Antec or Enermax.

lian li is worth the money IMO. i have the pc-65 and its LARGE for a mid tower...

yes lian li is worth the money.... a lot of money. yes it's large but that's also a bad thing, it requires long cables and that can mess up the airflow (a bit).
Anyway i "still" haven't decided on a case... oh god.. this is taking too long, i need to make up my mind! glare.gif

am i the only one who realizes who ugly and a waste of money Lian Li's are?

Wow, I was considering this PSU, http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc....-153-007&DEPA=0 for my future Athlon64 system. Is this a bad choice. Some reviewers stated slight fluctations in voltages, but nothing troublesome.

I plan to purchase all hardware in a few days.

lian-li are a waste of $$$ but seriosuly i like the way they are simple. Thermaltake are a great beginners case. they are full of fans, and they look nice to many and plus they already have a fan controller and a light up sign in front. so its like pre modded.

Lian-li on the other hand is basicly a raw case. you can run a computer in it but in the future you can mod it as much as you want to. I'd say these are the amatuer cases.

as for professioal. i would call pro if the case was hevially modded. like a newly build case. you didn't buy a prebuild one from a manufacturer.

i'd say waste your $$$ that is aluminum. that has a door(i love door to hide your beige drives), that has 120mm fan capabilities. and arrangements of stuff.

I hate TT cases now. I saw one in a store, I said to my self. Those are crappy cases.

Well, I am impressed with this Thermaltake case, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-133-133&depa=0
This was my first choice for my future setup.

those tsunami cases are nice. but for 99 dollars it kind of over priced. its nice though. try reading some reviews about it. always review before you buy.

also it'll help if you look at stuff before you buy it. of course itll take out the fun of suprise.

so yea. thats a nice case though. 120mm in the back, nice side fan. nice and simple.
